![]() ![]() ![]() Once again, the Vivobook outperformed with only a 45% increase in latency.Īpart from the latency on the Mac, I'm generally pleased with IVPN's quickness. The Mac really struggled here, with 156% greater latency with IVPN than without. The final performance test I perform is latency, sometimes known as ping. Still, they are both really great speeds without too large of a difference. While IVPN only impacted my upload speed on my Vivobook by approximately 6%, it slowed me down by more over 20% on the Mac. But, as you can see, I was completely incorrect. I anticipated the Mac to have a faster upload speed after such a significant gap. This was far superior than the Vivobook, where my download was hindered by more than 50%. I was blown away that IVPN barely slowed down my Mac's download performance by a little more than 6%. ![]() The first thing I check is download speed. Want to see more speedtests? Check out our Community Website! IVPN has 100 servers spread across 12 countries, making it one of the smaller networks I've examined, but hey, if there's a server near you, it's worth a look. Aside from that, VPNs are allowed in Gibraltar, which is a plus. Of course, being a member of the European Union, Gibraltar is covered by the General Data Protection Regulation, which is a good thing. Although Gibraltar is not a part of any international surveillance alliances such as the Five Eyes, Nine Eyes, or 14 Eyes, the United Kingdom can monitor their internet activity under specific conditions. IVPN is headquartered in Gibraltar, a British colony. I'll run it through some performance and security tests before diving into IVPN's customer service, app, and subscription choices. I'll be looking at IVPN's firm background, of course, then I'll have a look at the VPN itself in terms of functionality. Looking for a reputable VPN service? Today I'm going over IVPN, a startup created in 2009 by security experts at the University of London. ![]()
